Abstract

An observation in Grade IV of SDN Sidorejo 03 revealed issues in Social Studies (IPS) learning, including low student engagement, monotonous teaching media, difficulty in understanding the material, and 80% of students scoring below the passing standard. The solution was implementing the 5E Learning Cycle Model Integrated with Papan Kerajaan. This classroom action research used a qualitative approach with two cycles (planning, implementation, observation, reflection) involving 28 students. Data was collected through interviews, observation, tests, and documentation. The results showed that the model successfully improved learning outcomes: the classical mastery rate increased from 64% (average score 75) in Cycle I to 93% (average score 88) in Cycle II. The implementation of the 5E Learning Cycle model integrated with the Papan Kerajaan media significantly improves student engagement and learning outcomes in Social Studies, making it an effective strategy to enhance the quality of elementary education
